Assists farmers with moving local produce to institutional buyers who are prioritizing fresh and local products. Purchases, inspects, washes, and prepares Vermont-grown produce for institutional kitchens both large and small and collects and processes root and storage crops at regional hubs. Acts as processor as well as distributor.

Governs labor relations primarily between public sector employers and employees, including Vermont State Colleges, University of Vermont, school districts, and small private operations. The Board determines appropriate bargaining units, conducts union representation elections, adjudicates unfair labor practice charges, and arbitrates grievances.

Provides community food shelf services. Personal care items may be available depending on donations. Thanksgiving food boxes may be available, depending upon funding.

Offers the services of Certified Recovery Coaches/Peer support specialist, who work both one-on-one with people on all paths to recovery to help them plan and make positive improvement in their lives, as well as with their families. Recovery Coaches also help guide people in recovery to finding resources such as detox and treatment, housing, food, heat, clothing, and transportation, and resources for improving relationships and getting connected with others in recovery with whom they can relate.

Provides a post-secondary educational option offering two-year Associates Degree programs and Certificate Programs at twelve regional Academic Centers, as well as through the Center for Online Learning. Classes may be online or in-person.

Services include problem-solving support, assistance accessing resources, prejob guidance, employment goal setting, budget counseling, tenant-landlord mediation, community food shelf services, and emergency assistance with other basic needs such as utility payment assistance and housing. Also provides assistance with filling out benefit program applications and other forms.

Manages water and air quality, regulates solid and hazardous wastes, and administers a number of voluntary pollution and waste reduction programs. Program also provides environmental permit information and assistance, business and municipal compliance assistance, a number to call to report hazardous materials spills, and an Environmental Enforcement Division, which takes complaints regarding potential violations of Vermont's environmental laws. Also offers sampling of drinking water, well tests, and other resources during water-related emergencies.

Boys and girls become members of a den, which is usually led by a parent. Dens meet on a regular basis and earn awards through their achievements and activities, including sports, games, outdoor adventure, and life skills.

Offers parent education workshops, classes, and parent support groups.

Provides customer service for postal complaints, questions, and issues.

Provides emergency food resources in the form of pre-bagged staples. Provision of personal care items, diapers, and pet food is dependent upon availability.

Administers the registration and title of all motor vehicles. Issues Vermont license plates. Issues Vermont Driver Licenses, Commercial Driver Licenses, School Bus Driver Licenses, and Motorcycle Driver Licenses. Provides driver training information and issues ID (Non-driver) cards and Learner Permits. Provides school bus driver training information and administers scheduling for driver's license exams. Issues Foreign and International Licenses.

Provides individual and family health care through natural practices and treatments. Services include naturopathic medicine, physical therapy, acupuncture, massage, feldenkrais, and chiropractic care. Primary care is limited to people who live within one hour from Westminster, Vermont.

Provides wellness information to community members that may include the following: activity and exercise, stress reduction, disease-related support groups, chronic disease self-management, fall prevention, CPR and first aid instruction. Provides Healthier Living Workshops for individuals living with chronic diseases and long term health issues to improve their health and well-being through participation in group exercise activities and health education classes.

Provides a Thanksgivng dinner for the holidays. Take-out options are available.

Provides one-stop centers that offer an array of employment and training services. Helps job seekers assess skills and interests, explore training options, create a job search plan, write a resume, and find a job. Job seekers can access computers, educational resources, and information on employers. Training and pre-job assistance services include ICAN, which pairs qualified individuals with an employment coordinator to assist them with resources, support services, job readiness skills, case management, and job placement.

Provides small, limited community food services including grocery bags and silverware (as available). All food determined to be edible is accepted as donations including packaged food in unopened packaging, prepared food, and fresh produce.
