Reach Ahead helps families transition from Vermont's Reach Up or Post-Secondary Education (PSE) programs to working, with supports to help maintain a job, including cash incentives for working and help paying for car repairs, work clothes, and work supplies, a 100% childcare subsidy, and a cash benefit for food.

Answers questions and concerns about public and private drinking water quality. Offers water testing kits and suggests options for home drinking water treatment.

Works with farmers, maple syrup producers, small-scale food processors, meat processors, and other stakeholders to improve the safety of food produced and processed throughout the state of Vermont. Provides physical fitness activities to individuals in recovery from substance use disorder, such as crossfit, yoga, and strength training classes. Also provides a variety of health and wellness online classes and events. There is also a mobile app that lists classes and events in the community.

Provides a faith-based, safe and stable drug and alcohol-free home and supportive services with the goal of helping residents to transition to independent living and reassimilation into communities. Home environments are "family-style" where residents support one another in their recovery and cooperate to manage the household.

Offers innovative and often very intensive assistance to youth transitioning to adulthood with accessing and succeeding in employment, education, housing, positive relationships, community connections, and living independently. The JOBS program focuses on youth who have either left or are seriously at-risk-of leaving school prior to successful graduation and are at high risk for involvement with the criminal justice system, substance use, homelessness, physical abuse, abusive behaviors, or other areas of significant concern.

Provides low-cost or free health care for adults. Vermont Medicaid includes doctor visits, hospital care, prescriptions, vision, and some dental care. Also covers long-term care in a nursing home or at home, and physical therapy. Medicaid for the Aged, Blind, or Disabled (MABD) is also available. Assists Vermonters in enrolling in (and answers questions about) Medicaid and MABD. The member services line can help with filling out the application.

Helps eligible parents earn two- or four-year undergraduate college degrees with the goal of getting good paying jobs so they can support their families. The program provides monthly cash payments, support services, help with childcare, transportation, and school supplies, and may provide benefits through Reach Ahead if the parent is working and the PSE grant closes.
