Participants must satisfy the Vermont Judicial Bureau and the Department of Motor Vehicles requirements. Successful completion of program leads to criminal charges being dismissed.

They might assist with grocery shopping, bill paying, and transportation to medical appointments, and alert doctors and family members to potential problems. Senior Companions also provide short periods of relief to primary caregivers.

Provides flexibly scheduled and routed door-to-door (or curb-to-curb) transportation services. Coordinates and provides non-emergency medical transportation to health and wellness appointments, including for individuals who do not qualify for Medicaid or Senior Rides transportation programs. Offers transportation for individuals with mental health and/or substance use disorder to support groups, job training and access, recovery centers, drug testing, and other services. Provides transportation service to and from areas outside of the Northeast Kingdom and the state, provided the client prepays the negotiated cost of the trip(s). Offers a 12 Step recovery program for individuals who wish to stop the compulsive behavior of debting. Also provides information about dates, times, and locations of meetings.

Offers adult education and literacy instruction that provide individuals with the opportunity to acquire the education and literacy skills they need either to complete a secondary education or to better achieve post-secondary/career goals. Instruction is provided at six learning centers, as well as at job sites, libraries, homes, and other locations. Services include Functional Literacy Education (Reading, Writing, Math), Computer Literacy, Financial Literacy, English Language Learning and Citizenship Preparation, High School Completion Program, General Education Development (GED) Credentialing, Career and College Readiness, and other certifications.

Provides a peer-run helpline for treatment referrals, and support with general questions or concerns about eating disorders. Helpline is operated by trained volunteers. Also offers online resources about eating disorders and related topics.

Provides telephone and face-to-face crisis intervention services for individuals whose emotional distress may range in severity from difficulty in coping with daily stress to the crisis of a psychotic episode. Enhanced Mobile Crisis Services provide rapid mobile response for individuals experiencing a mental health or substance use disorder crisis. A trained two-person team can meet the individual at home, workplace, or another community setting, providing support and comfort including safety plans, peer support, care coordination and follow up and, if needed, temporary overnight accommodation.

Assists with enrollment in Dental Financial Assistance program through North Star Health and provides assessment for eligibility for other programs that can help with cost dental care.

Offers regularly scheduled health clinics and health education sessions that MAY include blood pressure screenings, glucose checks, cholesterol checks, flu vaccinations, foot care clinics, and self-management nutrition information sessions. Clinics are offered at local senior centers, senior meal sites, senior housing sites, community centers, or other public spaces. Also provides seasonal flu clinics.

Provides a free meal on Thankgiving Day.

Promotes volunteerism and provides assistance with finding volunteer opportunities within the community, Provides an online volunteer match/referral service where individuals who would like to volunteer in their communities can find a listing of opportunities and where agencies and organizations seeking volunteers can post volunteer opportunities. During times of regional disasters or emergencies provides information intended to help everyone in their communities get to the resources they need quickly and efficiently.

Provides shelter, medical treatment for shelter pets, and other basic care for stray and surrendered pets, including dogs and cats. Facilitates adoption of shelter animals.

Provides Vermont's mandatory rehabilitation program for individuals who have been convicted of driving under the influence of alcohol or other drugs. Completion of the Impaired Driver Rehabilitation Program (IDRP) is required to reinstate the privilege to drive.

Provides family dentistry services, including comprehensive clinical care and prevention services. Comprehensive clinical care services include preventive, restorative, extractions, crown and bridge, periodontal services and minor implant restorations.
