Provides information on how to protect against cybercrime incidents. Also provides public alerts on scams affecting specific populations, including older adults, children, teens, military personnel, and small businesses.

Provides outreach to victims of crime with community-based emotional support and resource navigation .Offers outreach to victims of low-level crimes for a restorative response. Victims in these cases are contacted and offered ways to participate in whatever way is comfortable for them. Offers options for victims to meet with those who have offended against them to ask questions and talk about the impact of the incident on themselves and others.

Offers a series of health-related workshops and presentations for the community, many of which are offered by health professionals. Information about local wellness programs is provided on line and is also published in flyer form. Topics include movement and exercise, nutrition, childbirth education, car seat safety, chronic disease self-management, and health/disease specific support group meetings.

Provides a broad selection of recreational opportunities and leisure time activities.

Provides a Quality Recognition and Improvement System (QRIS) for Vermont's child care centers, preschools, and after school programs. Programs that participate in STARS are those that go above and beyond state regulations to provide professional services that meet the needs of children and families. Families who send their children to centers that have received a 3-Star, 4-Star or 5-Star rating and who meet income guidelines may qualify for a low-income child and dependent care tax credit on their state income tax.

Provides crisis and stabilization services to at risk youth and families. Assists youth with supports toward developing well-being, education, employment, permanent connections, and stable living environments as they transition to adulthood. Compass works with youth and their families to make a plan of care that will assist them in accomplishing their goals. Youth meet with a case manager approximately once a week. If a youth's family is available for services, they will have the opportunity to work with Compass' Family Preservation Specialist around normal adolescent development, verbal de-escalation techniques, mediation, and other approaches. Provides crisis management for enrolled clients and families 24 hours a day through a pager. There is a rotating staff member on call at all times.

Provides fast track medical services to individuals who have minor medical problems that do not require complex diagnostic work, including colds, flu, infections, muscle strains and sprains, cuts, insect stings and bites, rashes and stomach upsets.

Provides community-based supports to assist youth with successful transition to adulthood. Provides youth not sleeping at home services that include provision of shelter homes while team intervention helps to resolve issues of conflict or stress. Offers intensive support programs to facilitate skills development in community-based and home settings. Respite Services provide hourly and overnight mentoring and supervision to enhance family functioning. Emergency overnight respite alleviates stressors impacting client and family functioning.

Provides in-home pediatric care with skilled nursing, therapies, and specific procedures. Provides physical therapists to do growth and development assessments, to establish exercise routines, to monitor progress, and to assist families with obtaining adaptive equipment. Also offers support and information to parents and family members who have previously experienced the loss of an infant.

Provides shelter for animals who have been abandoned, abused or surrendered by their owners. Services include animal adoption, pet food pantry, spay/neuter services, community education about pet care, and reporting of cruelty and neglect of animals to local authorities.

Provides confidential support and information. 24-hour hotline. Survivor-directed services may include safety planning, emotional support, assistance in obtaining emergency relief from abuse orders, hospital emergency room support, assistance in finding emergency shelter, advocacy for legal, financial, medical, and housing issues, and community resource referrals.

Provides investigation of all sexually based crimes and assures that victims are supported through the process. Facilitates the Sexual Assault Response Team (SART), a team of professionals from diverse fields who respond to sex crimes. SART members include investigators from Vermont Department for Children and Families, law enforcement officers, victim advocates, prosecutors and medical and mental health professionals.

Helps families with children by providing case management services that support work, training and education, and cash grants for basic necessities. Reach Up helps with identifying skills, abilities, interests, training or education needs, preparation for work, childcare costs, transportation costs, and work-related costs such as clothing, tools, and supplies. Each person on Reach Up works with a case manager to create a Family Development Plan. Benefits paid through direct deposit or EBT card. Child-Only Reach Up provides cash assistance to help eligible adults care for the minor, dependent children of relatives or family friends. Reach First helps families overcome temporary, short-term financial crises and avoid the need for longer-term assistance, providing case management, financial help, and support services. Reach Ahead helps families transition from Vermont's Reach Up or Post-Secondary Education (PSE) programs to working, with supports to help maintain a job, including cash incentives for working and help paying for car repairs, work clothes, and work supplies, a 100% childcare subsidy, and a cash benefit for food.

Provides youth employment services that include vocational testing and assessment to help identify skills, talents and experience; career guidance to help plan and map out a career strategy; tutoring and study skills training; summer employment opportunities; paid work experience including internships and job shadowing; leadership development opportunities; and support services to help overcome employment barriers.

Provides local officials and the public with information about Vermont's municipal governments and the laws that apply to them. Administers Vermont's Notaries Public, oversees the Administrative Rulemaking Process, and keeps many of Vermont's government records, including historical records.

Provides mediation services through which disputes are resolved with the help of a mediator in an effort to avoid resorting to court intervention. Situations that may benefit from mediation are disputes with neighbors, such as noise disputes, vandalism, animal complaints, and parking issues; landlord tenant disputes; school discipline and truancy matters; and problems related to business or workplace conflicts.

Offers regularly scheduled foot care clinics and health education sessions that may include information and screening for blood pressure, glucose, and cholesterol. Also offers self-management nutrition information sessions. Clinics are offered at local senior centers, senior meal sites, senior housing sites, community centers, or other public spaces. Offers a range of volunteer activities including food sorting and packing, harvesting, and distribution programs in locations from its warehouses to medical centers and schools, senior centers, and farms. Community Repack Volunteers sort and repack food, build and pack boxes for older adults, or sort fresh produce. The Gleaning Program offers opportunities to harvest surplus farm produce. Additional volunteer opportunities can include direct distribution to Foodbank customers at medical centers and schools for VeggieVanGo events or to seniors at Community Supplemental Food Program locations.
