Head Start also connects families to social services and resources for housing, employment, education, food, health, mental health counseling, substance use disorder, domestic violence, English as a Secondary Language, and other family needs. Space is reserved for children with special needs (hearing, speech, vision impairment, emotional or physical challenges). Families with foster children are automatically eligible. A limited number of families that exceed the income guidelines can enroll.

Provides a full range of supportive services for individuals with a limited life expectancy, and their families. Also provides comprehensive Palliative and support care to individuals in need of pain and other symptom management whether or not they have a life limiting illness.

Provides flexibly scheduled and routed door-to-door (or curb-to-curb) transportation services for the general public. Coordinates and provides non-emergency medical transportation to health and wellness appointments, including for individuals who do not qualify for Medicaid or Senior Rides transportation programs. Offers transportation for individuals with mental health concerns and/or substance use disorder to support groups, job training and access, recovery centers, drug testing, and other services. Provides opportunities for volunteer drivers.

Assists with such needs as personal needs items and emergency dental care (including extractions) for relief of pain, bleeding, and infection. Provides means to return to the state of legal residence for people who are stranded.

Offers individuals who accept responsibility and participate in noise abatement sessions a reduction in their fine by $100. Participation in 10 hours of community service at a non-profit will result in an additional reduction of $100. The noise abatement sessions include discussion of noise incidents and their impact on neighbors, information about how to resolve conflict, and a review of all of the City's Quality of Life Ordinances.

The Social Security Administration assists individuals in finding a representative payee, as well as manages the application process for individuals and organization looking to become representative payees.
