Provides interpretation services for American Sign Language (ASL) and Computer Aided Realtime Translation (CART) referral services for medical, legal, employment, educational, civil, and recreational situations. The program also provides advocacy, training opportunities for interpreters, and serves as an informational resource.

Victims in these cases are contacted and offered ways to participate in whatever way is comfortable for them. Offers options for victims to meet with those who have offended against them to ask questions and talk about the impact of the incident on themselves and others.

Develops partnerships, coordinates volunteers and offers program initiatives that address specific issues in education, income and health. This includes the areas of financial stability; financial literacy; individual nutritional and physical well being; early learning; addiction prevention; and supporting the basic needs of housing, food and accessibility in service communities.

Offers assistance on a first come/first served basis. Helps to meet basic needs ranging from groceries, utilities, gas and bus vouchers, thrift shop and laundromat vouchers, and hygiene items. Provides choice of 50 dollar food card voucher/support for groceries (including drug store at Hannaford and City Market), bus passes, gas vouchers (Must have current driver's license and registration) OR 75 dollar utility payment assistance. And, if needed, thrift store vouchers and laundry vouchers. Referrals are also provided to other agencies that administer to needs beyond the specific services offered by JUMP. Due to limited resources, JUMP DOES NOT provide back rent assistance, housing deposits, housing, bus tickets, gas cards, cell phones, auto repair, sober housing fees, drug addiction treatment fees, or employment.

Provides mediation services through which disputes are resolved with the help of a mediator in an effort to avoid resorting to court intervention. Situations that may benefit from mediation are disputes with neighbors, such as noise, vandalism, animal complaints, and parking issues; landlord tenant disputes; school discipline and truancy matters; and problems related to business or workplace conflicts.

Proivdes crisis stabilization beds. Services provided include short-term, out-of-home care in a staff-secured setting with the following supports: 24/7 therapeutic staff supervision, evaluation of acute mental health status, treatment and discharge planning, psychiatric assessment, medication management, intensive care coordination, and on-site comprehensive educational services.

Provides monthly supplemental nutrition assistance benefits to low-income households to purchase food. Households in which any person is younger than 65 access their benefit using a Vermont Express electronic benefits transfer (EBT) debit card. If everyone in a household is 65 or older, or receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI), benefits are deposited as cash into the recipient's bank account. Expedited benefits are available in emergencies and other specific situations. EBT cards may also be used to buy fresh, local products at certain farmers' markets in Vermont. A list of farmer's markets that can accept EBT cards is available on the website. In addition, 3SquaresVT benefits may be used for seeds and plants that grow fruit and vegetables at any retailer or farmer's market that accepts EBT cards.

Provides parents with consumer information about local Early Headstart, Headstart, home-based care, and child care centers. Also provides information on what to look for in quality child care. Offers on-going parent education workshops and classes. Coordinates community-based, professionally facilitated open play times are offered to children and their grown-ups.

Provides personalized, client-centered nutrition support to help individuals heal their relationship to food and body and learn how to nourish themselves in a sustainable and health-supportive way.

Strengthening Families Programs (SFP) provides parenting and life skills training programs for parents with substance use disorders and to prevent substance use in their children.

Sells low-cost clothing, jewelry, unique and vintage items, and some household items. Proceeds benefit the grant program.
