Provides culturally sensitive financial and money management education to New Americans in their own language. When possible, offers financial "house parties" for members of specific immigrant communities, hosted by a participant and facilitated by CVOEO Community Ambassadors trained in financial education who speak the same language. Topics include banking in the US, building credit scores, budgeting, microbusiness development, buying a house or car, and more. Community Ambassadors also provide interpretation for 1:1 financial coaching appointments and offer support for traditional credit and budgeting classes as well. Also available are culturally responsive classes that go into greater depth on saving, home ownership as an asset, and starting and sustaining small businesses. Also offers talkline for help to learn how to get help with food, housing, renters’ rights, and more.
