Provides tax information and assistance with tax filing preparation and e-filing of federal and state income tax returns, as well as assistance with filing for renters' rebates and homestead declarations. Assists with responding to IRS when tax filing has been unsuccessful and provides clarification and advocacy.

NEKCA (Northeast Kingdom Community Action) is a regional community action agency that provides low-income residents in Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties with a continuum of case management services, advocacy, and assistance services to support economic independence. Community services include emergency food shelves; emergency fuel assistance; homeless service; homelessness prevention; free tax filing assistance; budget counseling; holiday assistance, as well as youth services.
