The Vermont Department of State's Attorneys and Sheriffs is a state agency that enforces Vermont's laws by seeking prosecution in various legal matters including criminal offenses, child abuse neglect cases, juvenile delinquencies, mental health proceedings, and some civil matters. Works with other departments and agencies to pursue cases throughout all 14 counties in the state.
