Coordinates evacuation of pets, provides safe shelters, and establishes a system to track and reunite pets with their owners in the event of a disaster. Provides resources and advice to pet owners, animal-related businesses and non-profits, local communities, and state agencies to strengthen and support Franklin County's capacity to respond to animal needs in the event of a disaster. Guardian Angel Disaster Animal Response Team (GADART) provides support and training for team members and provides guidance to local emergency managers on including the communities' pet population in local response plans.
