Assists individuals seeking to improve their money management skills in monthly bill paying, debt reduction, savings and credit reports and credit repair. The process generally involves analysis of the individual's income, expenses, debts, taxes and other factors to create a personal financial assessment; development of a budget for basic living expenses. Also offers workshops that address a wide variety of money management issues including banking services, consumer credit lending, and debt consolidation/repayment.

NEKCA (Northeast Kingdom Community Action) is a regional community action agency that provides low-income residents in Caledonia, Essex, and Orleans Counties with a continuum of case management services, advocacy, and assistance services to support economic independence. Community services include emergency food shelves; emergency fuel assistance; homeless service; homelessness prevention; free tax filing assistance; budget counseling; holiday assistance, as well as youth services.
