Eligibility
Individuals who have been denied regular unemployment insurance. Claimants have 31 days to apply for DUA from the date the claimant's county was announced as a major disaster area. Qualifications: Individuals were unemployed for a week after the disaster started; Individuals can't get to their job; Individuals job doesn't exist anymore because of the disaster, or Individuals can't get to it; Individuals are now the main supporter of their family because the head of the household died in the disaster; Individuals can't work because Individuals got hurt in the disaster; Individuals couldn't start working because of the disaster.
