Individual whose driver's license has been suspended; Individuals who have lost their licenses as a result of a DUI or certain other serious offenses are not eligible.

Assists individuals with regaining their licenses while they are paying off fines and fees. Program participants work with diversion staff to develop contracts that include a payment plan. Participants must satisfy the Vermont Judicial Bureau and the Department of Motor Vehicles requirements. Successful completion of program leads to criminal charges being dismissed.

Burlington Community Justice Center, a member of the Community Justice Network of Vermont, is a non-profit restorative justice organization that works with citizens, local and state government, and law enforcement agencies to provide restorative responses to crime and conflict for the city of Burlington. Programs promote restorative practices by increasing community involvement in finding solutions to crime through Reparative Panels, Court Diversion, Conflict Assistance, Community Dialogue, Education and Crime Prevention, as well as Victim Support Services.
