Examples of criminal victimization to which DeafLEAD responds include domestic and sexual violence, bullying (cyber, physical, or verbal), teen dating violence, burglary or robbery, child abuse or neglect, and elder abuse.

DeafLEAD is a Deaf-run, non-profit organization that provides advocacy, crisis intervention services, case management, mental health services, and crisis interpreting, as well as other direct services to victims of crime and their families. DeafLEAD provides telephonic crisis intervention services to Vermonters who are Deaf, DeafBlind, Hard of Hearing and/or Late-Deafened.
