Provides the Vermont Enhanced Driver License (EDL/ID), a border crossing document for US citizens without a passport who are returning home from Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean or Bermuda, by land or sea. The EDL /ID is not accepted for international air travel. The EDL/ID is a Real ID-Compliant License, and a federal, Western Hemisphere Travel (WHT) Initiative-compliant document.

The Vermont Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is a division of the Vermont Agency of Transportation. Services provided include testing for and provision of driver licenses, driver permits, and non-driver ID cards, vehicle registrations and inspection requirements, provision of titles, commercial vehicle operating requirements information, operators' legal obligations with regard to filing an accident report, provision of highway safety training, and other informational programs.
