Eligibility
Eligibility based on financial resources of the deceased person (who must have lived in or died in Vermont). Other than a spouse, family member's financial resources will not be used to determine eligibility for the individual who died.

Covers the costs, up to a certain dollar amount, for professional services and related costs for a simple burial or cremation for a deceased individual. Payment is made directly to the funeral home.
