Offers parenting classes, workshops, special presentations, playgroups, and parent support groups. Topics include child development, discipline, early literacy, single parenting, and family life. Provides a lending library for parents, monthly newsletter, regional calendar, and information and referral about community resources. Also offers a separate parenting skills and recovery support group.

FAMILY PLACE, THE

The Family Place is a non-profit early education and family support organization that serves Windsor County, and some communities in southern and western Orange County. Services include home-based child development services, parent support and education, playgroups, early childhood services, child care subsidy, and information and referral. The Center also serves as a host for Reach Up, Children's Integrated Services, and Building Bright Futures. The Windsor County Children's Advocacy and Special Investigations Unit of Windsor County, multi-disciplinary task forces co-located in the Family Place, providing investigation of sexually based crimes against both adults and children and the serious physical abuse of children, with a goal of assuring that victims are supported throughout the process.
