Vermont state

Provides victims of sexual assault with access to a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) and, if they wish, a Victim Advocate. SARCs and Advocates are not counselors or licensed clinicians, but are a confidential resource specialists. SARCs and Advocates will explain military reporting options available to the victim and connect them to appropriate medical, behavioral health, legal, spiritual, and financial resources available through the military.

The Vermont National Guard (VNG) is the primary military reserve in Vermont, available to deploy anywhere in the world in defense of the United States, and available to serve under the command of the Governor during state emergencies. VNG provides a Vermont network of military family assistance centers and outreach teams for members of the Guard and Reserves and their families, and Veterans.
