Provides a variety of core services including emergency support and assistance. Services include problem-solving support, assistance accessing resources, prejob guidance, employment goal setting, budget counseling, tenant-landlord mediation, emergency food services, and emergency assistance with other basic needs such as utility payment assistance. Also provides assistance with filling out benefit program applications and other forms.

Capstone Community Action is a regional community action agency that provides a continuum of case management services, advocacy and assistance to help move families, in over 56 towns located primarily in Washington, Lamoille and Orange Counties, from anti-poverty to self-sufficiency. Programs and services include case management and advocacy, Early Head Start/Head Start, food programs, homelessness prevention, transportation assistance, emergency fuel assistance, weatherization information and assistance, small business development, individual development accounts, and tax preparation assistance.
