Administers the Vermont Restitution Fund which makes payment available to crime victims who suffer financial hardship and have been awarded court-ordered restitution from the offender. The Restitution Unit is able to pay victims their restitution as soon as it has been ordered by the court. The Restitution Unit collects from the offender to reimburse the Fund.
